History of car
I am 4th privet owner for the car since 2009.
Car was first shipped to W. W. Wallwork, North Dacota 19.6.1967.
First owner’s name is unknown. He was the uncle of the second owner John A. Cleppe form Minnetoka. John owned the car 1981 – 2003.
He sold car to a company Stephen G. Baker LLC in Georgia 2003 who sold the car to H. Kent High jr in Pittsburgh. He owned the car 2003-2008 and converted it to original 4 speed toploader manual.
I bought car from a company Extreme Classics LLC in Huntley, Illinois with 33 008 miles in 2009.
Car was unrestored original survivor with no sign of rust or wreck history ever.
The interior showed as new with no apparent wear or tear to it. All Shelby unique interior pieces were in the car and functioning.
Restoration 2010-2013
Car was unrestored when I bought it.
I drove 1 year and then desided to do full restoration.
This 1967 Shelby G.T.500 is such a unique classic that for the future this deserves nothing less than a full rebuilt.
The body was sent to Surface Processing in England where it was cleaned in a 4 step system and electrophoretic coated and then back to Finland.
Hakala Performance did then a full 100 point restoration using extra care and only original parts. Engine was sent to Sean Hyland Motorsort in Canada to a full restoration.
Every wire and hose has the same marks as in 1967 Shelby factory, even down to nuts and bolts.
It is as close to original as it is possible to make it.
All the paint work was done correctly by Janglas PaintStation in Tampere, Finland.
It was 2 ½ year long process but well worth it!
We have hundreds of photos and videos for the whole restoration.
