Porsche Boxster

Selling my Porsche Boxster 986 from 1997 because we are in need of a more practical vehicle with more space for the next chapter of our life. The car was imported from Sweden in 2022 by me, where it has spent it's whole life before coming to Finland (CarFax is available). It has a well documented history in paperwork and service history.

In my ownership, around 20 000e has been spent on maintaining the car to make it last, as I intened to keep the car as a summer-driver. Included in the service history of the last three years:

- IMS + RMS

- Gearbox oil

- Clutch

- All droplinks

- Rear suspension (bilstein)

- Horn replacement

- Radiators replacement

- New summer tires (all four)

- New coolant tank + coolant

- New oil pipe (was worn)

- MAF sensor

- Window heater relay

- Full major service in 2024 (incl. spark plugs and ignition coils) + normal service once a year

Additionally, the car had a full engine disassembly due to minor issue with crankshaft bearing resulting in metal in oil (though it was IMS - but it was not). A complete engine rebuild including washing and machining, where everything was handled, was done at Klassik Service (recommended by Porsche coach contact). Total for this was est. 10 000e (have documentation) - but now the engine is in perfect condition and drives like a dream!

The car comes with an additional set of OEM alloy rims with wintertyres on top of summer tyres (19-inch, aluminium).

Winter tyres:

- 2 x 235/50R17 100T Michelin X-Ice North 4 XL

- 2 x 205/55R17 95T XL Nokian Hakkapelita 10TL

Summer tyres:

2 x 225/35ZR19 88Y Hankook Ventus S1 Evo2

2 x 255/30R19 91Y Hankook Ventus S1 Evo3

The car also comes with a guards red hardtop matching the car.

The convertible top mechanism has been converted to manual function due to prevention of common error with first gen. Boxter (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7h3HAVrImg8). Convertible top motor could keep rotating even through top is all the way down, resulting in twisting the metal and structural damage. This was done as preventative in case this would happen, but parts for convertible top mechanism is kept and comes with car.

The car has been kept in garage, and only driven from garage to garage during winter time. Stored also with car cover.

Katsastus was done a couple weeks ago.
