Nyt joutuu perhetilanteen muutoksen vuoksi myyntiin todellisella rakkaudella pidetty, ruosteelta säästynyt ja hämmästyttävän hyväkuntoisena säilynyt Golf 1,6 CL. Auto myytiin alkuperäiselle omistajalleen vuoden 1988 lopulla ja hän möi sen 30 vuotta myöhemmin vuoden 2018 lopulla sen takaisin auton hänelle aikanaan myyneelle VW autoliikkeen myyjälle. Tämän jälkeen auto oli muutamia vuosia kyseisessä VW liikkessä ”maskottina”. Ostin auton myöhemmin tältä edellä mainitulta auton alkuperäiseltä myyjältä.

Tässä autossa eivät vilku vikavalot eikä tarvitse huolehtia milloin tulee kalliita remontteja vaikka auto olisi jatkuvassa ajossakin, lisäksi ylläpitokustannukset ovat olemattomat. Viimeisin katsastus suoritettu 12.8.2024, auto meni katsastuksesta läpi ilman pienintäkään huomautusta. Katsastusleimaa on siis jäljellä vielä yli 2 vuotta.

Vaikka autolla on ajettu ikäisekseen erittäin vähän, voi siltikkin vain ihmetellä kuinka auto on voinut säilyä niin siistinä kuin se on. Valokuvat eivät voi tehdä oikeutta tämän auton olemukselle, se täytyy nähdä. Mittarilukema on nyt hauskasti 140041 km, edellinen öljynvaihto tehty kilometrilukemalla 138412 km. Autossa merkkiliikkeen huoltokirja erittäin hienolla huoltohistorialla.
