Myydään: Klassinen avoauto todelliselle harrastajalle

Tämä malli on harvinainen. Sitä on valmistettu vain noin 2 000 kappaletta, joista sähköikkunoilla vain noin 400kpl. Niistäkin suuri osa kovakattoisia. Tämä kappale on kuin GS400 harrastajan yksisarvinen. Eli harvinaisuus harvinaisuuksissa. Viimeisen tiedon mukaan tätä mallia on euroopassa kaksi. Tässä toinen. Harrastajaryhmä arvioi tämän yksilön arvoksi 50 000.

Vähästä käytöstä huolimatta auto on toiminut hyvin, ja ainoa selkeä puute on uuden maalipinnan tarve.

Jos koet avoauton kaipuuta, autoa joka tottelee joka pyyntöäsi ja kehrää kiitokseksi, on tämä etsimäsi avokas. Mikään ei vedä vertoja GS:n tasaiselle kyydille kesäpäivänä! Katto toimii sähköisesti nappia painamalla eli senkään kanssa ei tarvitse painia.

Moottori ei ole alkuperäinen. Nykyisellä moottorilla on ollut Suomen rekisterissä rekisteröintikatsastuksesta 2000-luvun alusta alkaen. Rekisteriin on jostain syystä merkattu 6,6l moottori (eli 400) vaikka moottorissa on Buick 455 stanssi. Olen kolmas omistaja Suomessa, joten tiedossa olevia omistajia on neljä.

Ajoneuvo sijaitsee Vihdissä, jonne se ajettiin syksyllä 2024 optimaalisissa olosuhteissa. Sen jälkeen ei ole käynnistetty. Katsastus umpeutui 30.5.2025.

This model is rare. Only around 2,000 were ever produced, and only approximately 400 were equipped with power windows. Most with hard top. This one is like a unicorn among GS400 enthusiasts. A rarity among rarities.

According to the latest information, there are only two of these cars left in Europe. This is one of them. A group of enthusiasts has estimated the value of this particular example at €50,000.

Despite having seen very little use, the car has performed well, and the only obvious issue is that it needs a new paint job.

If you have been longing for a convertible – a car that responds to your every request and purrs in appreciation – this may be the open-top beauty you have been looking for. Nothing compares to the smooth ride of a GS on a summer day! The convertible top is power-operated at the push of a button, so there is no need to wrestle with it either.

The engine is not original. The current engine has been registered in Finland since its registration inspection in the early 2000s. For some reason, the Finnish registration documents list the engine as a 6.6-litre engine (400), even though the engine itself bears a Buick 455 stamping.

I am the third owner of the car in Finland, making four known owners in total.

The vehicle is located in Vihti, Finland. It was driven there in autumn 2024 under optimal conditions and has not been started since. The vehicle inspection expired on May 30, 2025.

The asking price reflects the known issues and work required.

I do not recommend purchasing this vehicle with financing. This car is genuinely rare, which means that parts may have to be sourced from the other side of the world or custom-made. Keeping and maintaining a vehicle like this therefore requires dedication and a willingness to take on the challenges that come with owning such a rare classic.
