Bentley R type esiteltiin vuonna 1952 ja se oli vasta toinen uusi malli maailmansotien jälkeen. Auto jakoi perusrakenteen, kuten rungon ja 4.6 -litraisen suoran kutosmoottorinsa Rolls-Royce Silver Dawnin kanssa.

Tämä vuosimallin 1954 Bentley R Type Standard Steel Saloon on tuotu Suomeen ja rekisteröity lokakuussa 1999. R type on varustettu muun muassa kattoluukulla ja nelivaihteisella automaattivaihteistolla.

Autoon on tallella sen alkuperäinen Bentley R Typen omistajan käsikirja, jossa on huoltomerkintöjä 1950- ja 1960 -luvuilta.

Autoa on säilytetty lämpimässä museossa ja sillä on ajettu vuosittain. Korissa ja sisustassa on runsaasti ajan patinaa, kulumaa, maalikupruja ja käytön jälkiä.

Auton moottori käy hienosti ja Bentleyn kyyti on pehmeää. Vaihteisto toimii moitteettomasti.

Auto on katsastettu kesäkuussa 2023, voimassa kesäkuuhun 2027 saakka. Autoa ei ole toimestamme teknisesti tarkastettu ja suosittelemme sille perusteellista huoltoa.

Bentley sijaitsee Vantaan Luhtaanmäessä. Esittelyt sopimuksen mukaan.

The Bentley R type was introduced in 1952 and was only the second new model after the world wars. The car shared its basic structure, such as the frame and its 4.6-litre straight-six engine, with the Rolls-Royce Silver Dawn.

This 1954 Bentley R Type Standard Steel Saloon was imported to Finland and registered in October 1999. The R type is equipped with a sunroof and a four-speed automatic transmission.

The very original Bentley R Type owners handbook is preserved and there are notes from services made in 1950’s and 1960’s.

The car has been stored in a museum and has been driven annually. The body and interior have a lot of patina, wear, chips, bubbles and signs of use.

The car's engine runs great and the Bentley's drive is smooth. The transmission works flawlessly.

The car is registered as a historic vehicle and Mot/Tüv inspected in 06/2023 that is valid until June of 2027. The car has not been technically inspected by us and we recommend a comprehensive service for it.
