Notes

I am posting one of my hobby cars here, which is a very rare car these days, the classic BMW 1602.

By the way, only two of these BMW 1602 models have been registered in Estonia!

Produced in 1974 and brought to Estonia in the summer of 2015 from Sweden and to this day only 6003km on the odometer! The car has been in the hands of one owner in Estonia. When I bought it in Estonia, the car had only driven a few thousand, was driven only a few times in a few summers and then went to dry garage where it sat for over five years!

The BMW E10 02-series was a compact sports coupe of its time, which played an important role in shaping BMW's reputation.

Incidentally, the BMW 1602 is rarer today than the 2002 model, which is why it is a valued car among classic...

When I bought it in Estonia, the car had only driven a few thousand, was driven only a few times in a few summers and then went to dry garage where it sat for over five years!

The BMW E10 02-series was a compact sports coupe of its time, which played an important role in shaping BMW's reputation.

Incidentally, the BMW 1602 is rarer today than the 2002 model, which is why it is a valued car among classic enthusiasts and collectors!

The car also has a very beautiful paint job. An exclusive red tone that emphasizes the character of the car. A historically iconic color that combines sportiness and classic elegance, catching eyes in any light. A color that quickly stands out in the street scene, which leaves no one indifferent, often makes you want to give it a thumbs up and take a picture.

Very well preserved and maintained.

1.6 liter M10 four-cylinder engine, which develops 63kw and works on the end of a 4-speed manual gearbox. It starts and runs very nicely, all gears also engage beautifully. Generally kept and maintained, no leaks anywhere, if something needs to be done, it is done immediately. There are no rattles in the chassis, very nice and soft to drive. Coolant change, oil change and filters changed immediately before the inspection. Rear differential replaced with oil, which was very difficult to find. In addition, spark plugs, distributor cap with rotor, restored interior radiator, new radiator, new thermostat, water pump, fuel pump, fuel filter, new battery, carburetor disassembled and cleaned, etc.!

This red paint job is especially cool and eye-catching! By the way, today's M3s have also been produced in the same style. The classically retro round lights and just the right amount of chrome give a particularly nice classic look! In addition, the car has original high-quality alloy wheels with original chrome fairings with a beautiful BMW logo that fit perfectly! Very cool original small sports steering wheel with BMW logo, period-appropriate comfortable soft seats. The music works, the lights and whistles work, all the windows work beautifully (except the front passenger), especially enjoyable in the summer to open the triangular windows and just enjoy this classic created in the 70s!

Technical inspection until 05.2026

Overall, a very nice rover and hobby car. It was parked in a dry garage during the winter, as well as all previous winters, to avoid our salty climate. The machine still holds its value and it also increases beautifully over time. A very good investment.

But don't forget that the car is still over 50 years old and you can find some minor defects, a few chips or scratches that are not noticeable, wear and tear in the cabin, etc. I could immediately point out, the passenger window rolls down partially then gets stuck somewhere in the back, poor radio reception (reads cassettes and some of the best songs), probably easily solved with an antenna amplifier and the back seat is a little broken in the middle.
