36 vuotias auto on ikäisekseen erittäin hyvässä alkuperäisessä kunnossa. Ei rakenneltu, eikä ajettu metsässä. Moottori ja vaihteisto-tekniikka toimii hyvin kaikilta osin. Neliveto ja alennusvaihteet toki mahdollistavat metsässä mönkimisen, mutta klassikkoa ei ehkä kannata siihen uhrata. Sisällä kangaspenkit ehjät ja virheettömät. Alkuperäiset 80-luvun Jeep turbiinivanteet ovat harvinaisuus.

Kaikesta huollosta ja korjaamisesta on kirjauksia, kuitteja ja listaa. Olen omistanut Jeepin 3 vuotta ja ehostanut sen ryhtiinsä. Etujouset uusittu, maalivirheitä korjattu ja nyt elokuussa tuulilasi. Hitsaustöitä ei tarvitse tehdä. Varaosia löytyy hyvin.

Tämä on jo kolmas Cherokee jonka parissa olen harrastanut. Talvella auto on seissyt sisävarastossa ja kesäisin olen ajellut ehkä noin 1000 km per vuosi auto- ja retkeilytapahtumiin. Pihalla auto...

Myyn Jeepin koska aika kuluu nyt muuhun tekemiseen ja autoharrastus saa jäädä. Jeep on myynnissä muutaman viikon ja sen jälkeen menee taas varastoon talveksi.

Jos aina vaan harvinaisempi maasturi-klassikko kiinnostaa niin soita ja tavataan kauppojen merkeissä.
