103 000 km. Near-stock EJ207. Factory twin-scroll setup. Factory power levels. Garage-kept. No winter use.
My personal reason for buying the JDM EJ207 version: factory twin-scroll turbocharger, higher-revving, dual AVCS engine which EUDM & USDM examples did not get, in short – the legendary reliability of the EJ207 vs. EJ257 (some of it’s bad rep definitely comes from „user error“)
My first car was also a ’08 2.0R Sport so it had to come full circle for me from that perspective.
Even though the GRB sports a TC and Drive Modes button, it is still one of the performance icons of the 2000s that still offers an analog driving experience.
The main current strongpoint of a STI vs. Evo is clearly the price point – for a significant discount you will get a similarly performing car. The difference is that in STIs case, the performance comes from the driver, not from the trickery of early to mid 2000’s clever electronics (and hydraulics).
The car is both mechanically and cosmetically in a „good“ to „very good“ condition.
