Ostin auton 4 vuotta sitten Ruotsista, jossa myyjällä se oli ollut yli 21 vuotta. Auto oli siellä katsastettu 1.8 litraiseksi, vaikka todellisuudessa se on 1.9 l, (M43B19, Suomen BMWn ilmoitus) ja moottorissa on jakopään ketju. Kirjallinen huoltokirja kertoo auton säännölliset huollot. Auto huollettiin tarkoin myös tuonnin jälkeen. Kesällä 2023 ostin uudet renkaat (GoodYear) ja akun. Auton kolme avainta ovat tallessa.

Auto on hienossa alkuperäiskunnossa ja siinä on hyvä maalipinta ja kangaskatto, joten se on ilman lisätöitä museorekisteröitävissä v. 2027.
